Systems Engineer
OmniNet is a Tauranga based IT Services company providing a range of services including Managed support services, ISP, Cloud, etc along with sales, implementation and support.
We currently have a full-time position available for an enthusiastic, motivated Systems Engineer to build and support customer environments along with our internal infrastructure.
The person we are seeking must be capable of working un-supervised and be committed to meeting deadlines and customer expectations. Being a growing and diverse company we offer exposure to a wide range of technologies and challenges including:
- Cloud and managed services
- Server and network implementation and support
- Public & Private cloud
- Internet and VoIP phone services
- Implementation of complex networking

What we are looking for:
- Ideally you will have 3 or more years’ experience working in IT and preferably coming from an MSP environment
- You will need to have great proven experience dealing with high level IT implementation and issues
- Someone able to identify and devise solutions as required for clients
- Excellent broad ranging customer service skills are of the utmost importance in this role where you will support both office based and remote users
- Ability to work within a growing team, covering both projects and operational work
To be successful in this role you will possess proven experience in system build, support and implementation of Windows Infrastructure as well as the following skills and experience:
- Intermediate skills in latest versions of Windows Server & Desktop O/S
- Microsoft Modern workplace
- Networking, Routing & Firewalling
- Advanced troubleshooting skills

- Advanced customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Self-motivation and self-management
- Strengths and ability in punctuality, time management, presentation and administration
